The Ministry of Finance has signed a grant agreement with the African Development Bank to support the agricultural sector and bolster job creation.
The USD 43 million grant will be allocated to the Agri-MSMEs Development for Jobs project in Ethiopia.
This project aims to improve the competitiveness, employment opportunities, and overall development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
It is expected to play a pivotal role in boosting productivity and promoting inclusive growth, thereby contributing to Ethiopia’s efforts to build a resilient and diversified economy.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance representing the Government of Ethiopia, and Dr. Abdul Kamara, Deputy Director General of the East Africa Regional Development and Business Delivery Office and Country Manager of the Bank.
