Applications are invited to apply for the HAW International Scholarship 2026 in Germany. All International students can apply for these scholarships. Applicants who want to continue their doctorate studies abroad are welcome to apply for these scholarships. By providing doctorate researchers with impactful and practice-oriented global experiences, this program seeks to enhance international collaboration.
By facilitating research stays overseas, the program enables doctoral students at German applied science universities to develop important intellectual and professional networks. One or more nations may host these stays, which can last anywhere from one to six months. The financing is flexible, so candidates can space out their research visits over the course of their doctoral studies. For PhD candidates enrolled at German universities of applied sciences (HAWs/Fachhochschulen), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is now accepting applications for the HAW International Research Scholarships for Doctoral Students.
The German Academic Exchange Service, created in 1925, is a collaborative effort of German institutions and student organizations to strengthen international contacts. The DAAD claims to be the world’s largest funding agency for international student and academic exchange. Since its inception in 1925, the DAAD has sponsored almost 3 million academics in Germany and overseas (as of 2024). The DAAD is also the national agency in charge of coordinating and implementing the European Union’s Erasmus+ initiative in higher education.
