Over 100 exhibitors have so far been registered to participate in the HortiFlora Expo 2026 scheduled to take place from 24 to 26 March 2026 at Addis International Convention Centre in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa.
A large number of foreign participants have shown their interest in participating in the Expo organized by the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association (EHPEA) in collaboration with HPP Worldwide under the theme, “The Future is Floriculture.”
With environmentally and socially responsible operation, Ethiopia’s horticulture sector has been garnering multifarious socio-economic gains on hard currency generation, job creation, innovative agri-solution, natural resource conservation and communities’ livelihood promotion.
In the previous fiscal year (2024/25), the country earned horticulture export revenue of 564.89 million U.S. dollars, with flowers accounting 80% of the proceeds. Currently, the country’s horticulture industry employs more than 200 thousands local people, mainly women and youth in rural settlements, significantly contributing to income generation and poverty reduction as well as knowledge and technology transfer.
