Purpose: The Environmental Fellows program, initiated by the Harvard University Center for the Environment (HUCE), empowers recent doctorate recipients to utilize and enhance Harvard’s extensive resources in tackling complex environmental issues. Fellows engage for a two-year period with Harvard faculty members, creating a robust research community.
The Award: Selected fellows receive an annual salary of $87,500, eligibility for employee health insurance, up to $2,500 for relocation expenses, and an annual allowance of $2,500 for travel and professional expenses. The program is open to individuals who earned a doctorate or equivalent terminal degree between May 2020 and August 2024, with approximately six fellowships available for the 2024 cohort.
