Applications are now open for the University of Tokyo MEXT Scholarship 2025-26 in Japan. The Government of Japan is providing scholarships to international students from around the world. These scholarships cover all expenses and are available for both Master’s and PhD degrees at the University of Tokyo. Japanese language proficiency, as well as IELTS or TOEFL scores, are not mandatory requirements for Japanese scholarships. Instead, you can provide an English language proficiency certificate from your university when applying for the MEXT Japan Scholarship 2025. This scholarship offers the opportunity to study in Japan with full funding. The duration of the Master’s degree scholarship is 2 years, while the Doctoral degree scholarship extends to 3 years.
