The World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Young Professionals Program 2027 in Switzerland is now accepting applications. Young professionals have the opportunity to gain practical experience at the WTO headquarters in Geneva through this fully funded overseas program. This one-year course provides hands-on experience with important international trade issues and the operations of the WTO. The WTO YPP is anticipated to start in January 2027. This is your opportunity to start a global career in trade, economics, or politics.
The WTO aims to create an organization that is representative of its members and the people it serves by recruiting and retaining employees who meet the highest standards of competence, efficiency, and integrity. The YPP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for qualified young professionals under the age of 32, as of 1 January 2027, from WTO Members with little or no professional representation in the WTO Secretariat, to improve their WTO knowledge and skills in international trade issues. The program seeks to expand the pool of professionals from these WTO Members, with the eventual goal of increasing their representation in the WTO and other regional and international organizations.
